I molted — so Mighty Forces is molting, too
Oh hey, I’ve been molting
If you follow me on LinkedIn, you know I’ve been calling this my #MoltingWomanSummer. If this is the first you’re hearing about it, let me quickly catch you up: This summer I’ve felt like a lobster who outgrew her old shell, except in my case, the shell was the work I do, and how I talk about it. It is not fun to be uncomfortable in an old shell, or to experience the vulnerability that comes when you step outside of it, and have yet to find a new one. I know so many of my clients traverse moments like these, and I hoped that by writing about it and naming it publicly I could help inspire more of us to be real about our molting, so we can learn together and feel less alone.
Thanks to asking for a lot of support (which you can read about here), I arrived in a place of clarity, aka I found my new shell. Hallelujah! Keep reading to learn about the post-molt changes I’m making here at Mighty Forces HQ (aka the end of my guest room where my desk is located).
New at Mighty Forces
I’ll be expanding my focus away from storytelling. Stories are in my DNA, but after 20+ years helping people and orgs tell their stories, I feel called to expand my focus. Over the years, clients have reflected to me that our work has meant more than just finding the right words. It’s helped them find their voices. And what is our voice, other than a vessel for our innate power?
My expanded focus is on activating and sustaining mighty forces who reject the status quo, and who iterate continually to create alternatives — in our lives, in our work, and in the world. For more context around this and to see my answer to the question “what is a mighty force?”, check out this blog post.
Core offering: an incredibly juicy Mighty Membership option, priced at $200/month - like a co-working space membership, except you get connected with amazing people from across the country, and you can access support straight from your laptop. (No shade to in-person connection, which we all know is vital. But people are so busy, there is an ultimate convenience in being able to participate from wherever.) Also, most co-working spaces I’ve known don’t offer weekly coaching office hours as part of your membership; Mighty Membership does. Join here.
And then, twice a year, I’m offering an 8-week sprint for when it’s activation you need above all else — a space where you will do the thing. The first one starts September 15. Sign up here.
I’ll also be sending a newsletter weekly (it’s been a bit irregular) and I’ll be recording season 2 of the Mighty Forces podcast this fall — both of these things are, hopefully, sources of sustenance and activation in and of themselves, and can help more people find their way to Mighty Membership.
Phew! I think that covers it. I feel genuine excitement in my body as I step into this new chapter, and cannot wait to support more of you in the ways outlined above. If you have questions about any of this, or just want to catch up, please schedule a virtual coffee date!
